Barong Dance is a traditional Balinese dance that depicts the battle 
between good and evil. This dance is one of the most famous cultural 
performances in Bali. 

Characteristics 
This dance is performed by two dancers 
The Barong dancer's costume is called Ket or Keket, which is a combination
 of a lion, tiger, and ox 
Barong is wrapped in thick white fur around his face 
Decorated with various gold jewelry and mirror fragments 
Typical gamelan music accompaniment 

Story 
In Balinese mythology, Barong is a lion-shaped figure who represents virtue 
Rangda is a resistance figure who leads an army of evil witches 
In his dance drama, called Calon Arang, Barong wards off Rangda's magic that
 rules the world 

Meaning 
Barong Dance symbolizes the battle between good (dharma) and evil (adharma) 
Barong Dance also carries a moral message about the importance of maintaining 
balance between the two forces in life
