Mount Batur is one of Bali’s most popular destinations for nature lovers and hikers. Standing at around 1,717 meters above sea level, it is famous for its sunrise trekking experience, offering breathtaking views of the sunrise above the clouds, with Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains creating an unforgettable backdrop.
The journey begins before dawn, while Bali is still covered in darkness. Armed with nothing but a flashlight and determination, we started climbing step by step toward the summit of Mount Batur.
The cold air, steep trails, and tired legs made the journey challenging. But everything felt worth it when the sky slowly began to change color.
As we reached the summit, the sun started rising behind the mountains. Golden light slowly covered Lake Batur and the surrounding valleys, creating a breathtaking view.
Sometimes, we have to walk through the darkness to truly appreciate the beauty of the light. 🌋🌅
